Animations of fundamental nuclear processes that are directly relevant to MIT research will be created. These will be incorporated into the teaching material for undergraduate courses in the Schools of Science and Engineering and will be made available to the public. In understanding of concepts such as quantum mechanics and nuclear structure, animation is crucial because this realm is impossible to see directly. For physicists, math conveys the ideas. However, for the beginning student, animations are the only way to grasp the invisible and these concepts. The work will be showcased at the Fall 2024 meeting of the Division of Nuclear Physics of the American Physical Society in Boston.
