What you need to know
The Subcommittee on the HASS Requirement (SHR) reviews proposals for new or revised Concentrations throughout the academic year. The Subcommittee works with administrators to ensure that subject offerings are sufficient to sustain the Concentration, and that appropriate instructors, preferably faculty, are available to serve as advisors.
Some key points to remember:
- Proposals should come from the department/unit head, associate head, undergraduate officer, or other faculty responsible for undergraduate education.
